Kaizen are a mellow yet edgy acoustic duo from Haverhill made up of Claudette on vocals and Gil on guitar. We chose our band name, “Kaizen” (a Japanese business philosophy, meaning “continuous improvement”) because it describes our mission to keep on getting better...and it sounds pretty good…

We enjoy performing a diverse mix of popular cover songs as well as lesser known/played tunes that will, on occasion, (pleasantly) surprise you. Our varied repertoire includes songs from a broad range of bands/artists including The Beatles, Hosier, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse and Soft Cell amongst many others. Contact us and let us know what we can play for you.

We recently played a 45-minute set at a very cold Thriplow Daffodil weekend. Gil was heroic, playing in a checked lumberjack shirt and jeans (no gloves, because he needed to feel the guitar strings) but his hands were froooozen. I sang wearing a duvet (ok, it was a long padded coat) and hat with gloves but there was lots of teeth-chattering in between songs. Despite the cold, it was a fantastic turn out. Always such an appreciative audience in the beer tent at the Thriplow Daffodil festival. "Kaizen played for us at Shudy Fest 2018 and we couldn't have been happier with the performance. Smooth, crystal clear vocals with tight harmonies and an electric guitar sound that blended seamlessly. Such a full sound for a duo and a great choice of songs. Our only regret was not giving them a longer slot! Will definitely be booking them again.

"A rare talent, at home with straight Jazz standards, R&B and pop covers, and equally authoritative in each genre. Always a pleasure to hear Claudette sing."
Neil Dunlop, Balsham

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for Saturday evening. It was an amazing night...thanks again, Tx"

Tracy, Bumpfest

"Claudette and Gill have now performed for two consecutive  Balsham Feasts, and it has been a joy to have them there on both occasions".

Richard Pargeter, Chairman, 2018 Balsham Feast committee
